Five Skills – Part 5
In the Tse Qigong Centre, only the very senior students have learnt all five skills. Most students learn two and beginners usually only learn one. Leaning one, two or all five skills will still have the benefit for your good health. When I was a young teenager, I wanted to learn as much Chinese Kung Fu as I possibly could, so in the end it was my fate to learn all these five skills. As well as these five, I also learnt Yìjīng 易經, Chinese horoscopes and Fēng Shuǐ 風水. I wanted to lean them as they were related to Chinese Culture and Qì氣. I even considered learning Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, but that would have been too much. In the end, I had the best thing for health and that was Qìgōng 氣功. For good health, nothing is better than allowing our own body to fix itself. It is much better than relying on external things and putting things into your body to fix it. There is also the possibility of side effects if you take things into your body. Taking external things should be the last thing when there is no other option. It is just the same as making a living, wouldn’t you rather make your own living than rely on someone giving you money? The answer is we always want to be able to take care of ourselves by ourselves.
