The Rich Merchant with Four Wives – Part 4
Our true Nature is who we are, what we think, what we do and how we act. If we do bad things and harm others we will get a bad result and if we do good things which benefit others we will win a good result. We all want a better true nature so that we can have a better future with less suffering. Whenever we think about others we can help them and by helping them it will make our own lives better.
Buddhists believe life repeats again and again and that we will be reincarnated each time we die. When we are reincarnated our true nature comes with us and so if we have a good true nature our lives will be good and if we have a bad true nature and life will be bad. Therefore, if we have a bad true nature we need to change it so what carry with us will determine whether our next life is good or bad. This is the reason that in Buddhism a good heart and a good nature are the most important things.
Our bodies, our money, our processions and our partners cannot come with us on the next journey. Only our true nature comes with us, so having a good heart and a good nature are the most important things.
