Five Skills – Part 6
If we know so many skills, what is the best way to practise? If we have a job and a family to take care of, then it is hard. First, we need to keep learning and go to classes and take part in seminars. These will help you practise and maintain your studies with your Sīfú 師父 and other brothers and sisters. Then your skill will get better, and you will not lose anything by forgetting. It is always better to practise with a group than practising by yourself. When we are on our own, we can become side tracked or even lazy. When you are with your Sīfú and others, you are more focused, and you will share your knowledge and ask questions. If we are on our own, we still need to practise at least twice a day, like in the morning or evening or daytime and night-time. In nature there are two kinds of energy, daytime and night-time, Yin and Yang. If we have more time, we can practise at sunset and if we have even more time we can practise at noon. So, in all, four times a day, roughly from 5 to 7am, 11am to 1pm, 5 to 7pm and 11pm to 1 am. Training around those times will be alright.
