Hún Pò 魂魄 – Part 2

Hún 魂 is Yáng陽 Qì氣, which goes to the sky when we die. Once we pass, the Hún will leave our body and rise up to the sky, maybe into the air, Chinese describe it in the moonlight. When we look up at the sky, we see the moon and the moon is equivalent to the Hún. Pò 魄 is equivalent to the actual physical moon. The Hún is like the moonlight and the Pò is the actual moon. The the daytime the Hún will stay at our eyes so when we see things we will have a feeling, like when we enjoy looking at a beautiful flower. When we see it we will appreciate and admire it. This is the function of Hún during the daytime. At nighttime the Hún will stay at the liver and this enables us to have dream. We will dream about a lot of things, and this is because when the Hún is at the liver the mind will respond to it and so our feelings are created because the Hún is strong. When the Hún is strong our sense is stronger, Hún is the sense we get when we watch something, like a movie, read something, like a book. Hún will respond to it, and we will connect to whatever we see with our eyes. Some books and movies affect us so much, that afterwards we cannot focus what we are doing and the Hún is the spirit of the feeling and emotions.
