Three Hand Yang Jing
Since we have Three Hand Yin Jing and Three Foot Yin Jing, we must have Three Hand Yang Jing and Three Foot Yang Jing. Again, “three” because there are three kinds of Yang, Tai Yang 太陽, Yang Ming 陽明 and Shao Yang 少陽. From before we already will already have worked out that Tai Yang means Big Yang and Shao Yang is Small Yang. This means that Yang Ming must be Middle Yang. Ming 明 means clear and bright. Middle Yang is clear and bright and so if we have enough we will feel clear, bright and positive. Too much or too little is not balanced but with the Three Yang together, they all become smooth and this is balance. We need all three Jing to smooth, with no blockages as this means we are healthy. Practising Qigong smooths all the Jing in order to balance the body.
The Yang Jing run the on the outside of the hands and arms and these areas catch the sun and so can become suntanned. The Three Hand Yang Jing are: Hand Tai Yang Small Intestine Jing 手太陽小腸經，Hand Yang Ming Large Intestine Jing 手陽明大腸經， Hand Sao Yang Triple Warmer Jing 手少陽三焦經.
