Levels of Qì Development – Part 1

When we first go to class to begin our Qìgōng 氣功 study, the Sīfú 師父 and all seniors help us, and by the end of the class we always feel good. This is how it should be. Feeling good is the first step and the first result that we should gain from our Qìgōng practice. To begin with we should not think too much about the Qì 氣 and also too much about the details and trying to make our movements perfect. We should just relax and enjoy our practice, and this will allow us to reach the first level of Qì development. Feeling good is very important, who does not want to feel good? Feeling good is the purpose of life. Whatever we do we should feel good about doing it and in the end we should enjoy our lives and be happy. So our lives are the same as our Qìgōng practice, they make us feel good. After a month of regular practice, we should start to feel more energy, we  should not feel tired easily and we should be able do our work more easily, socialise with our friends for longer, read a book for longer and find that our minds are clearer and we enjoy things more. This is the second level of Qì development, from feeling good to having more energy, and this means we are developing more Qì and our level is getting better.
