Principle of Meditation Part 5

When we do meditation, we relax and the more we can let go the more we can feel the body, and then we just let everything happen naturally, we do not try to direct things or visualise any Qì 氣 or create images in our mind. Letting things happen naturally is the result of emptiness, so basically, emptying the mind means to not control and let things happen naturally. If we think that emptiness is complete stillness, this is wrong. Nothing in nature is completely still, it only changes very slowly, so that it appears as if nothing is changing. So emptiness means is to let go and let everything happen. In Qìgōng 氣功 it means to let the Qì flow to balance the body. When we let go, we relax and we can feel the body. Then the Qì will automatically flow to balance the body. Even if we are imbalanced, our Qì will flow to regain as much balance as it can, then as we practise we make our Qì stronger and over time we will gain more balance until we are very balanced. And then at least we are healthy until our body ends. So, on physical side Qìgōng meditation is for good health and healing our body, mentally, Qìgōng meditation can also develop another level
