Master Tse’s Qigong Dao #82
Sense the Place
When we are healthy and have good strong Qi we can sense things around us. When we walk in to a room we can tell whether it is a good place to live or not. Chinese have a Feng Shui風水 whose knowledge tells us about areas where to live, where to work and where to bury graves. These areas can affect our Qi, health and fortune. It is like a plant, when you put it in the right place it grows better, a human being is the same. The land affects our energy and when we are strong we can feel if the place is a good place to live or work without a Loupan羅盤 (Feng Shui compass). Feng Shui people need a Loupan to find the right direction and energy for the future of a person. However the body is a big compass and if we are sensitive enough we can sense things around us and choose the right tools, objects, people and even our spouse. This saves a lot of time and energy. So when the body is relaxed and calm we will have better senses. It is like when we want to listen to something clearly we might close our eyes, it is like a singer who sings full of emotion he or she will also often close their eyes. Doing this blocks the distraction from the outside and makes us more sensitive.
